There is a few ways to verify you have an active Gopher run: 1) Open the top of the tunnel, being careful not to collapse the tunnel, place a paper towel into the tunnel, through the hole. If you find the paper towel pushed out of the hole within 24 hours, the tunnel is active. 2) Press down a small section of the tunnel. Mark this section and recheck in 24 hours. The burrow is considered active if the flattened runway has been raised up. 3)Remove a one-inch section of the tunnel’s roof. Mark this section and recheck in 24 hours. The burrow is considered active if the roof has been repaired.
