Tomato Crop Program

This crop program is a guide only.  We suggest you devise your own program  based on your individual growing conditions.

Pre-Planting Stage.

  • Chicken Manure: Apply 2 to 5 tons/acre. Let it age and apply in late fall or early spring. If you do not let it age, make sure you do not plow under the soil because it could dehydrate your soil.
  • Soft Rock Phosphate (colloidal): 100 to 400Lbs/Acre. Apply first.
  • Hi Cal Lime: 0.5 - 2 Ton/Acre. Make sure it is not dolomitic lime, high magnesium can compact the soil.
  • Granular NPK 10-10-10: 150Lbs/Acre. Add this a week or so before planting to get things started.

Soil ConditionerTake 1 Gallon of our Humic Soil Cleanser 0.1 Gallon of our Tillerman's Friend and 0.08lbs of Microbial Infusion. Apply together and lightly disc into soil 14-21 days before planting. This will really help to revitalize and condition your soils. Especially if your soils are becoming sterile and sick.

Ensure you use plenty of water. A MINIMUM of 100 gallons of water per acre. The availability of water is often believed to be the biggest nutrient limiting factor to your plant.

Try not to limit root growth by putting top-dressings in the root zone. Put top-dressings between the rows.
