Cedar Bat House
Ideally, a bat house should be located near water, in an unobstructed spot 12' to 15' high, facing east or southeast, so the house will warm up quickly in the morning. Bat houses are bottomless and have rough interior surfaces to which the bats cling. Our multi-chamber house is 8.75" wide x 6" deep by 18" tall, with room for 50 bats. It comes with mounting brackets and complete information. No maintenance is required. A big brown bat can eat 3,000-7,000 mosquitoes every night. Compare that to a mechanical mosquitoe trap.
