Wooden Fly Trap 12"x12"x12"  This wooden fly trap It will catch thousands of
manure-breeding flies and reduce your adult fly population fast,
guaranteed. The trap uses a
strong-smelling bait to attract the flies and a unique floor design to
bring them in. The trap holds 25,000 flies and is easy to clean.
Unscrew the lid to empty. It is built by hand, especially for us and
made of redwood to last outdoors for many years.
Once lured to the trap by the odors and live flies, he flies are trapped by their tendency to move toward light. In our trap, after feeding on the bait, the fly moves up into the one (towards the light) and through the hole in the cone. Even if an occasional fly finds its way down through the hole, its natural attraction to light will bring it back into the trap.
The bait consists of 2 lb yeast and 1 oz ammonium carbonate, which is
highly volatile and evaporates quickly; store in a tightly sealed
container. You may also use other ingredients as long as it attracts
flies.
