Alkaline water (over pH 7) or hard water contains calcium and raises the pH of sprays. Works especially to negate the effect of Safer's Soap because the calcium of the water ties up the soap. To fix this,
just add Sequestar to your spray solution. To tell if you have hard
water, add a tablespoon of Safer's to a quart of water and shake. If it
does not foam, it is hard water.
