Useful tool for extracting soils for samples, measuring surface soil
depth or checking soil moisture content at different levels. Simply
push the tube into the ground & when you pull it out, it is filled
with soil, visible through the long slot in the side. To remove soil,
just turn the probe upside down, tap the handle on the ground and catch
the soil. Oakfield samplers are made of high quality,
corrosion-resistant, chrome-plated steel. Replaceable screw-on tip. The
36" model has the back-saving feature of a footstep, important if you
sample frequently or have heavy soils and samples to a maximum depth of
10", sufficient for most needs. The 18" model will sample to 18" but
has no footstep.
