Agtec trellis support netting can be used either vertically to support your plants or horizontally in multiple layers so your plants can grow through the netting and be supported as it grows. This trellis netting is colored green to better blend in with crops and provide a more natural looking support system.

This UV stabilized poly is long lasting, practical and encourages growth. This netting guarantees good air circulation, excellent exposure to the sun and optimal use of space allowing for easy harvesting. Manufactured with high quality polypropylene, which is lightweight yet very robust, flexible, tear-resistant, UV stabilized and resistant to bacteria, chemical agents and mold.

Additionally most bugs see on the UV spectrum and are not attracted to green colors, so this trellis helps to keep them off your plants.

Agtec trellis netting can be used as a vertical support that is ideal for growing vegetables that need support like peas, tomatoes, pole beans and cucumbers because the plants attach easily to the net with no additional tying necessary. This results in greater air and sun exposure and reduces ground contact which can cause rot.

When applied horizontally in layers plants can grow up through the netting and be supported without the need to continually tie to the supports. Great for flower beds and popular with medical marijuana growers as the net provides perfect stem support for fragile flowers and stems. The trellis adds a very strong support structure ideal for growing healthy plants.

Use with Agtec monofilament wire for additional support along the top and bottoms of your trellis. Add wire fasteners and splicers to make maintaining the tension in your trellis netting easy.

Vertical Installation

To install Agtec trellis support netting vertically you would put support posts down your rows at approximately every 24' apart. Then you attach netting to the support posts using string or twine. Next snake a support cable such as monofilament support wire (available separately) or other strong cable or string through the netting at the top to support the netting. Then simply tie your plants to it as they grow. This netting is very versatile and you could be inventive such as making vertical cages.

Horizontal Installation

To install the Agtec trellis netting horizontally for larger crops such as tomatoes where you would need only 1 or 2 layers you could install the netting over a poly tunnel or a similar frame and simply allow the plant to grow through the netting. The netting is very versatile and there is many ways you can install this to support your plants such as putting over a hoop house or tunnel so that the crops beneath them grow through.

For smaller plants such as flowers use several layers that are close together. Start by putting 4  wood or metal posts in the ground. The first 2 should be placed in the ground the width of your netting, the second 2 should be placed 6 - 20' away. The height of the posts would depend on what you are growing.

Next screw or bolt wooden cross bars between the posts 1 and 2 and also between posts 3 and 4 at the different heights you are going to space your layers of  trellis support. This will depend on how tall your plants grow.

Next attach your netting to the cross bars by wrapping them around the cross bar and then tying string or zip ties around the netting and cross bar to hold in place.

Next unroll the trellis support netting and attach to the cross bars between posts 3 and 4. You can continue the row by putting support posts and cross bars every 20' apart and make the layer as long as you want. Then do the next layer the same way.

You may be advised to strengthen the edges with monofilament or string to stop the edges from sagging.  Your plants should now be very well supported as they grow up through between the layers.
