VideoScopes- Borescopes- Inspection Cameras

A Videoscope is the next generation of borescope technology. Instead of simply reflecting an image through a fibrous or reflective substance through a cable like a form of telescope, the videoscope actually features a small camera and conductive wires feeding back to an electronic screen. This makes recording and playback of images and videos possible. The resolution of the images produced is much higher as well, making inspection easier and more efficient.

Applications:

  • Water Damage Restoration
  • HVAC and Refrigeration cleaning and inspection
  • Electrical inspection
  • Automotive inspection
  • Pest control
  • Safety and security inspections
  • Mold, insect infestations
  • Plumbing inspection
  • Damage detection
  • Gear wear inspection

Borescopes are similar to videoscopes but are often less technologically advanced. Many borescopes are simple eyepiece scopes which allow a person to look into hard to reach areas. Many don’t even use electricity and are purely optical. Video borescopes are the preferred method in modern times and provide a higher resolution image or video.
