A force gauge is used to test the quality of springs, latches, strength of materials and food quality. This force gauge employs both tension and compression testing and has a tension tester and a compression tester included. Testing fruit hardness and skin thickness will often give a good indication of the overall quality of the fruit or vegetable.

This force gauge features a high capacity range of up to 220 lbs (100kg) for testing small and large forces. This meter also has the ability to download data to a PC with a built-in PC interface. Compiling data on a computer means graphs and charts of the data can be created to make better sense of the information.
