PyGanic contains a pyrethrum formula specifically developed for use on organic crops and ornamentals. It provides rapid knockdown and killing of more than 40 plant pests, as well as causing insects and mites to flush from hiding.
Pests controlled include aphids, beetles, caterpillars, cucumber beetles, flea beetles, Harlequin bugs, thrips, etc. PyGanic is approved for use on over 200 fruits and vegetables and may be applied on the day of harvest. According to the manufacturer, it is non-persistent in the environment.
If your problem is insect infestation on your horses, other livestock or poultry, you can use PyGanic EC 1.4 in a fogger or as a spray. Or if your infestation is in your greenhouse, field crop, nursery, or orchard, Pyganic EC 1.4 can be effectively sprayed with a wide variety of equipment.
Pyganic EC 1.4 has been approved for use against more than 40 insects on more than 200 fruits and vegetables. It can be used in any season, whenever an insect infestation is observed. In addition, Pyganic EC 1.4 has been approved for use on all growing crops, landscape and ornamental plants, in homes and other structures, in livestock premises and on livestock. That means just about anybody can use it to control insect pests!
There are no restrictions concerning number of applications per season, because Pyganic EC 1.4 rapidly breaks down in the environment, and there is no residual buildup. Insects are not known to become resistant to Pyganic.
Pyganic EC 1.4 is a broad-spectrum insecticide and will kill beneficials, including honey bees. It is advisable to apply it early in the morning or at dusk to avoid killing bees. Our fly parasites are nocturnal, so applying Pyganic EC 1.4 as a fog in the morning will not harm them. If other beneficials have already been put in place, plan to reapply them. Beneficials can be applied 1-2 days after Pyganic.
When applying on vegetation, it is best to use a buffer with Pyganic if the pH of the final mixed solution is outside the range of 5.7-7.0. A surfactant will also increase coverage. Pyganic 1.4 may be tank-mixed with other pest control products like Bacillus thuringiensis, Azadiractin, Spinosad, Neem Oil, and a host of other additives, fungicides, nutrients, surfactants and penetrants. It may be applied through irrigation systems or by compressed air or pump sprayers.
Pyganic EC 1.4 has a normal usage rate of 1-4 pints/acre mixed with 100 gallons of water. The average rate is 2 pints/acre mixed with 100 gallons of water.
