These heavy duty mud control grids are designed to create an instantly stable and weight bearing surface by laying directly over muddy areas. Unlike other products that require a gravel sub-surface layer and ground preparation, these heavily reinforced grids can simply be laid over the top of muddy areas and then expanded indefinitely by connecting multiple grids together to create a surface suitable for foot traffic, horse and animal traffic and even vehicles.

The grids are very heavy duty weighing approximately 15lb and can support 11,200 pounds per square foot making them strong enough to support even heavy traffic over areas that would otherwise be too muddy.

The design specifically takes equine use into consideration and the mud control grid has been designed with grooves to accommodate a horses hoof.

We recommend installing a geotextile fabric beneath the grids to provide additional separation, stability, reinforcement and weed control, and to help prevent sinking over time. Non woven geotextiles allow water to pass through very quickly and should be used in areas where rapid drainage is important. For other areas, a woven ground cover is also suitable.
