The AgTec 0.5oz Insect Barrier and Seed Germination Blanket is made from 100% spun-bonded polypropylene. It is ideal for use as a lightweight floating row cover and an effective, low cost insulation against the elements. Plants and seeds are protected from frost, heavy rain, insects, birds and other pests while the blanket creates an excellent microenvironment for seed germination by acting as a barrier against fungal spores. Proper use can result in 90 to 95% seed germination versus 60 to 65% with straw or hay.

Also effective for use in pollination control, these blankets encourage earlier yields, provide insect control, and reduce seed and soil erosion.
