Introducing the AgTec PVC 3-rail horse fence, the ultimate solution for those who demand the highest level of quality, durability, and elegance for their property. This fence system is designed with the needs of both horses and their owners in mind, providing a safe and secure enclosure that is also stylish and long-lasting.
At the heart of the 3-rail horse fence is a set of 82-inch long x 5-inch thick posts, which are built to provide the ultimate in strength and stability. Approximately 54 inches of the posts go above ground, ensuring that the fence is tall enough to keep horses safe and secure. Each post includes a 5-inch flat cap as standard, which adds to the fence's attractive and elegant appearance. The posts are also 5 times stronger than wood, ensuring that the fence will stand up to even the most rigorous use. The rails of the fence are 8 feet long, 5.5 inches wide, and 1.5 inches thick, providing ample strength and support for the entire fence system.
The 3-Rail PVC Gate Kit we offer comes with a 36-inch wide by 46-inch tall gate, complete with hinges, latch, and a pair of 78-inch aluminum post inserts. These aluminum inserts are designed to be installed inside the two adjacent posts, providing reinforcement to bear the gate's weight and ensuring durability for long-term, frequent use. We recommend beginning with the installation of the gate posts and gate, as this will help you determine the optimal positioning for the remaining fence posts in your setup.
One of the key benefits of the 3-rail horse fence is its low maintenance requirements. Unlike wood fences, which require regular painting, sanding, and staining to maintain their appearance, this fence is maintenance-free. It won't rot or mildew like wood, and it's UV stabilized for decades of use outdoors. The fence is also manufactured to withstand extreme hot or cold climates, ensuring that it will not fade or show any signs of deterioration over time.
Not only is the 3-rail horse fence practical and durable, but it's also an attractive and elegant addition to any horse paddock, farm, or garden area. The fence provides a strong and secure barrier that also adds to the overall aesthetic appeal of the property.
Finally, the 3-rail horse fence comes with a 10-year warranty, ensuring that you can enjoy the benefits of this fence for many years to come. With its strength, durability, and elegance, this fence is the perfect choice for anyone looking to enhance the safety and beauty of their horse property.
Installation Instructions:
Step 1: If using a gate, it is best to assemble your gate first as the gate width and location will determine the layout of the rest of your posts.
Step 2: Install line stakes and run a string line. The string line should be positioned on the side of the posts and be very tight. Use a tape measure and mark the location for each post. Posts should be installed 8 foot apart on center to accommodate the 8ft rails. Note that rails can be cut shorter if necessary.
Step 3: Remove the string line, leaving the stakes, and dig the post holes. If installing with concrete, 5" posts will need a 12" diameter hole (If installing with Fast2K dig an 8” diameter hole). The recommended depth of the holes is 28" - 36" depending on how tall you want the fence.
Step 4: Re-attach the string line to the stakes and place a post in each hole. Use the string line to ensure the fence line is straight as you set the posts.
Step 5: Finally, mix the concrete and fill the hole around the post with concrete to 3" below ground level, ensuring that the post is level and plumb. It is best to use two 80 lb. bags of Quickcrete for each 5" post. We recommend setting posts in concrete one post at a time so corrections are easier to make.
