This erosion control mat is designed to be 100% biodegradable and prevent erosion from both wind and water until seeds have had time to germinate and develop strong roots. This mat is dyed green to make it more attractive and blend in well with areas which are already seeded.
For structural support a single layer of photodegradable netting is added to the top of the wood fiber mat. If large quantities of rain or wind are thwarting landscaping projects then this is the simple and effective answer.
